The creation of the co-op gallery was a response to potters wanting a friendly place to gather for comparing work, notes, tips, and we needed a selling venue for our work.  As each artist takes their turn sitting the gallery, we often make work so people can see us in action.  We have found that visitors love the opportunity to meet the artist.

Ann JudyIt's the immediacy of the clay, the NOW, that does it for me. I am absorbed in "being" with the clay, in the moment that it happens, and becomes.Doug GreenLaurie VancouverI continue to explore the relationship between nature and people. My love of the woods and it's beauty, as well as the effect it has on me is very soothing to my soul. To imagine myself living in one of these "tree houses" brings me great joy. The major parts of each tree house are thrown on the wheel and then attached to each other and carved to create this imaginary place that combines aspects of nature and man made objects. I hope you find them as enchanting as I do. Marjorie BledsoeSmall wheel thrown pottery is somewhat unusual. Many potters think it is more difficult to make than large pieces. Over the years I've abandoned so many projects and have come to the conclusion that I pay more attention to detail and do a better job on a piece if it's of a manageable size.Rene OlsonSue HazenHaving lived in Athens for 35 years, I feel like a native of Southeastern Ohio. My lifelong adult dream has always been to have my own pottery studio and make pieces that would be accepted in this area. Thanks to my husband Glenn, I now have my own studio in a renovated block garage situated on a hundred acre farm in Amesville.Sue RothClay fascinates me. As a kid I made clay serving dishes and bricks form the clay found in the creek. I would leave them in the sun to bake only to have them disappear in the next rain. Now I am a "senior citizen" exploring clay again. I started making vases for the flowers I grew. I became fascinated by the personal connection with the clay and how different clays feel and respond to my touch.
